PRECALCULUS
21:640:114 (3 credits
)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
:
Algebraic, rational, trigonometric, logarithmic, and exponential functions, functions and
inverse functions, solutions of nonlinear inequalities; advanced factoring techniques.
We
will be studying such concepts as the functions and graphs needed in calculus and higher
mathematics.
We will also consider applications of these concepts to realworld situations
PREREQUISITES
:
21&62:640:112 (College Algebra Intensive) or 21&62:640:113 (College Algebra) or
21:640:109 (College Algebra for the Physical Sciences) or placement by examination.
IMPORTANT NOTE
:
This course is intended for students who intend to enroll in 21&62:640:135 (Calculus I.)
