Description The Research Assessment Program must operate within the Standard Operating
Environment (SOE) of School desktop machines, which are a mixture of Dell and
Apple products that all run Windows 10.

Criteria The software application (Research Assessment Program) must be able to run on a
university computer with Windows 10 Dell and Apple products.
Method Black Box Test:
1. Open the RAP (Research Assessment Program) on a university window 10
computer;
2. The RAP GUI (Main Window) should be visible and operable immediately;
3. GUI should display the researchers list and researcher details in the Main
Widow.
Outcome Pass.

computer;
2. The RAP GUI (Main Window) should be visible immediately;
3. GUI should display the researchers list and researcher details in the Main
Widow.
Outcome Fail. This program can not work on apple product.

Description The user should be able to view an interactive list of researchers (consisting of
both staff and research students) employed by the School.

SW, UC8_User_views_ResearcherList
Criteria The users view the researcher list when the application first loads. This list should
display names in the format ‘Family Name, Given Name (Title)’, as in ‘Einstein,
Albert (Dr)’.In addition to using the list to access researcher details, the user can
also filter the list, either by a researcher’s employment level (including ‘student’)
or (if time available in project) partial name match, or both. For basic filtering, the
user should be able to list all researchers, students only, level A, level B, level C,
level D or level E. If implementing name matching, then the list contents would be
restricted to show only those staff whose given name or family name contains the
text entered by the user.
