The adenosine triphosphatase enzyme accomplishes the breakdown  of an ATP molecule.  The products of ATP breakdown are  adenosine diphosphate (ADP)  and a  phosphate ion.   Adenosine diphosphate and the phosphate ion can be reconstituted  to form ATP, much like a battery can be recharged.
