INTRODUCTIONManagement and organizational behavior is an important process in every organizationconserving the fact that it enables the achievement of goals through people. It involves planning,organizing, leading, communicating, and controlling people to enhance performance which isone of the greatest determinants of the performance of the organization. The employees are abasic part of every organization an indicator that their ability to be in a position to perform to thevery best is very important (Turnley & Harvey, 2013). The report below discusses therelationship and impacts of attitudes and job satisfaction of employees to motivation andorganizational behavior considering the fact that performance is a product of ability andmotivation. The relationship and impacts will be discussed based on various theories and modelsof organizational behavior.2. CRITICAL APPRAISAL2.1 Relationship between Attitude and Motivation at WorkAttitudes have the potential to either improve or break the capabilities of a worker orworkplace teams. Positive attitudes are known for their positive ability to motivate workers andteams increasing productivity. Negative attitudes have the ability to reduce the energy of workersand some team members. The product of bad attitude is negative conflicts that reduce themotivation of employees. The result is a reduction in job performance (Ilies, 2012). Workplaceattitude is mainly defined by the evaluative reaction that people show towards work and can bemainly made visible through intended actions of behaviors, beliefs, or expression of feelings atwork. This an indicator that attitude leads to responses that are either favorable or unfavorabletowards work. Attitude is directly related to motivation which is a great determinant of employeeperformance (Ilies, 2012).
MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR4In relation to the Functionalist Theory that was proposed by Daniel Kartz, attitudes aremainly determined by their functionality or else the impact that they make in peoples lives.Attitudes are important in the achievement of goals since their either create a positive or negativereaction towards an activity mainly in relation to the vitality of the activities. The theory ischaracterized by the instrumental function that clearly states that favorable attitudes are mainlydeveloped towards activities and actions that reward of aid people.
