Evaluate comparative development among the various national and regional cultures. Appreciate change over time. WOH 2040 CONTEMPORARY WORLD HISTORY (3) P: This course will examine the major political, social, economic, intellectual and diplomatic developments of the 20th century. Emphasis will be placed on the impact of two world wars, the Russian Revolution, the Cold War, the emergence of Communist China and the rise of the Third World, the decline of Communism in Europe, and the major problems of the post Cold War world. As a writing intensive course that satisfies the Inquiry and Discourse
