Math 200a Fall 2011 Homework 4 Reading assignment: Sections 5.1-5.5, 6.1 All exercise numbers refer to Dummit and Foote, 3rd edition. Starting with this home- work set, I am abandoning ”optional” problems for the time being, and all of the listed problems are to be handed in (they won’t be starred anymore). If you need extra practice cementing some of the basic concepts, working through any of the lower numbered exercises in the text may be helpful.
