Consumer Behavior & Advertising - The Consumer Decision Process o Need Recognition Can come from you internally Can also come from the outside (like advertisements) o Search for information Getting to be an issue today because company’s cannot hide any information from consumers o Purchase Decisions Difference between Male and Female buying of cars Males are treated differently because they more often have the intention of buying and know exactly what they want Females typically will observe, record information and then interpret the information later o Pre- purchase Alternative Evaluation Apple and Costco allow you to try out products before you purchase them o Post-purchase Alternative Evaluation Buyer’s remorse The normal process for a company, is designing, they source out all the components, they construct it, and they disperse it out to the consumer.
