ENGL107- Unit 5 DB Cheri Bolin August 17, 2011 Writing a paper cannot always be the simplest procedure. There are many steps that need to be taken in writing a successful paper. Asking yourself questions, such as; was my research conducted appropriately? Did I use proper grammar and punctuation? Were my resources cited correctly? Did I keep it interesting enough for my readers? Questions such as these help us produce the best essay possible. Below are some useful tips to become a productive writer. One of the first steps in writing a paper is choosing a topic. You always want to be sure and chose a topic that you are able to find information about. I always try and pick a topic that interests me. Unfortunately, you may not always have that choice. Once you have chosen a topic you will want to try and narrow your topic down to one specific area. For example, let’s say you are going to write about children. What topics can you choose from in relation to children? Once you have you topic narrowed down you can begin your research. Researching all the key points about the topic and utilizing those key points will provide you
