Exam 1 Study Guide Your exam will consist of two sections. The first section will contain 20 multiple choice and true/false questions. You need a scantron form for this section . Please bring form 882 E and a pencil to class. The second section of your exam will contain one essay question. I will select the exam question from the ones below. 1 In the Apology , Socrates is on trial for his life. What are Meletus’ official charges, and what arguments does Socrates directly present against them? Do you think that these arguments prove that Socrates is innocent? Considering the dialogue as a whole, do you think that Socrates provided a strong defense against Meletus’ charges? Why or why not? -Official charges: Corrupting > if Socrates is corrupting the youth then who is improving? Since Meletus can’t answer he does not care about the charge. Also says he did not know he was corrupting the youth. Thus He should have been educated first.
