One cube must be the wood block. You may use the space on this sheet to record your raw data or any other notes you feel that you need to make as you are doing the lab. This instruction sheet MUST be included in your lab report. Materials: 3 Different density cubes. Electronic Balance Metric Ruler Filter Paper Data Notes: Measurements Cube #1 White : Mass- 14.4 g ± 0.05g Error- (0.05/14.4) = 0.00347 x 100% = 0.347% Volume- 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 2.5cm = 15.625cm 3 Error- (0.05/2.5) = 0.02 x 3 = 0.06 x 100% = 6% Density- (14.4/15.625) = 0.9216 x 0.06347 = .058493952 =0.92 ± 0.06 gcm -3 Cube #2 Wood: Mass- 5.6 g ± 0.05g Error- (0.05/5.6) = 0.0089285714 x 100% = 0.8928571429% Volume- 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 2.5cm = 15.625cm 3 Error- (0.05/2.5) = 0.02 x 3 = 0.06 x 100% = 6%
