Know how the seven large satellites in the solar system differ The various moons of the planets are not simply copies of the Earth’s Moon. 3. Know how spectroscopy reveals the chemical composition of the planets The light we receive from a planet or satellite is reflected sunlight—but with revealing differences in its spectrum. 4. Understand why the Jovian planets are made of lighter elements than the terrestrial planets Differences in distance from the Sun, and hence in surface temperature, explain many distinctions between terrestrial and Jovian planets. 5. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
