How do you think gender, race, and ethnicity have affected your behavior? Provide an example from your life where you have observed people from different ethnic backgrounds or genders behaving differently in the same situation. In my lifetime, I personally feel as though my ethnicity and race have had little to no affect on my overall behavior. However, my gender does have an effect on how I act. I am a female, and as a female, I act much differently than I would act if I was a man, this however is to be expected. In one of my other classes, I am studying to be a Certified Nursing Assistant. During one of my classes, we were being tested on the proper way to provide care for an elderly person. One

However, another student of a different ethnicity, upon being corrected, decided to tell the instructor that she was only being corrected because of her race. She proceeded to tell the instructor and the remainder of the class that she was being held to a higher standard because of her race. Never mind the fact that she got the answers wrong, like the first student, she felt as though her race was an excuse to permit her wrong answers....
