Provide one example each of classical and operant conditioning in your own life. Identify either the stimulus and response or reinforcers in each case. Which type would you prefer for learning and why? Classical Conditioning is the process by which a living being is conditioned to respond to a formally neutral stimulus, as a conditioned response, as if it were an unconditioned response. An example of Classic conditioning in my life was an instance involving my myself and one of our children. It was at the dinner table that one of our sons was having troubles eating what he would put on his plate. Over the course of several weeks, I would reprimand him. However, the actions never changed. I would tell him that if he did not stop taking more than he could eat, there would come a time when he would not be able to simply throw the food away, but would be made to eat everything on his plate. One specific night, we sat down to a dinner of pork chops and mashed potatoes. As had happened on previous nights, our son decided that he was going to load up on mashed potatoes. After eating about
