Brent LiberCWV-10110 February 2020Matt Hampton Gospel Essentials and the Christian Worldview IntroductionThe Christian Worldview today displays many interpretations from the same source, Despite the different interpretations of the same teachings, the foundation is based upon the sameevents. This paper will break down the components which form the foundation from where the Christian Worldview is created and explain in detail the following aspects; God, humanity, Jesus, and restoration. With explaining the foundation of these aspects, the benefits from believing and giving our lives in accordance with God’s will be revealed. GodWhat is God Like?“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been bornof God and knows God (1 John 4:7).” As the passage illustrates, God is Love; he loves us andwants us to love everyone, as that is his will. He wants us to be happy, to have our needs takencare of, and have faith in him as he does in us. He is selfless and rewarding for those whomaintain their faith in him. What are God’s Characteristics?God is self-existent, as the creator of everything. He is eternal as he was here before usand will be here after us. He is a pure spirit as he wishes no ill will towards anyone. He is
infinitely good in all his intentions, for man and creature alike. He is omnipresent in our lives; heguides us through the hardships we encounter and will not turn away from us as man may do attimes. God is the first cause of all, as what he has created will return to him. What is His Creation? He made man in his image; “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after ourlikeness (Genesis 1:26).” Not only was “man” his creation, but the earth, the creatures, theresources, and vegetation, which provided for humanity was all his creation. In the time span ofsix days, the earth, formed from a void, became present in Genesis, along with the physicalaspects of the planet, the difference between night and day, as well as the seasons came to life.HumanityWhat is Human Nature?Human nature is the traits and foundation of our behaviors and reasoning skills, for howwe interact with everything in our world. From our creation, we were designed to be thereflection of God, and live our lives free of sin. But when man entered the period of the “Fall”this is when human nature became flawed, or corrupted, having disobeyed the command of God.
