The principal issue in this source is that violence in schools is caused by the media but not by school hazing an emotional issue. 2 Identify any examples of bias presented by the author. This essay had some bias opinion by saying that due to the media, television and the graphics they shown make are children react violently. 3 Identify any areas that are vague or ambiguous. If none exist, explain how you determined this. In a part of the article they say that children react and display what’s on television I do think this statements are vague because not all children display violence and act on what they see in the world. 4 Do you find the source credible? Explain your reasoning. No I don’t think this is a credible source because it only has one opinion of the theory. It doesn’t have facts or enough information to collaborate the statements. 5 Identify and name any rhetorical devices used by the author. If none exist, explain how you determined this. In this article it was none exist they don’t use rhetorical devices to show influence to the teen or their parents the just used vocal method. 6 Identify and name any fallacies used by the author. If none exist, explain how The “Argument” from popularity and Hasty Generalizing were the two fallacies that I found to be used in this article. CRT 205

One argument made by the article was that there was a lot of violence in schools due to the graphics on television and what students play for video games. Which leads them to do harmful acts in school environment 8 Identify the premises and conclusion of the argument. The premises and conclusion was that school violence comes from television and other electronic devices display upon 9 Is the author’s argument valid or invalid, sound or unsound, strong or weak? Explain how you determined this. I believe this article to be invalid because the facts are bias and this article says that what child watch on television affects their behavior which is not a proven fact or can even be support by good facts so I think that it is a weak argument because it didn’t demstorate valid views.
