Baby Boomers’ use and perception of recommended assistive technology: A systematic review This study by Dianne M. Steel & Marion A. Gray claims assistive technology (AT) use by the baby boomer generation is expected to represent a new era for aged health care. This technology will help this generation maintain independence and is expected to increase a demand for AT. To support this claim the authors used search strategy and selection criteria such as Medline, CINAHL and Cochrane databases related to baby boomer generations which they were able to find to expand their study by using the inclusion criteria of age ranges. Inclusion criteria were: research related to AT use by a population which includes baby boomers; published in peer-reviewed journals and full-text English language articles . Studies were based in acute rehabilitation units in the USA and Australia. Frequency of use and patient satisfaction surveys were the main outcome measures.
