Ethan Chen English 316 April 12, 2011 Effective and Ethical Communication Today, communication becomes so essential that almost all kinds of our daily activities require communicating skills. In order to better express ourselves and interact with others, we should understand the proper ways of effective and ethical communication. First, before being a good communicator, we have to be a good observer. If we cannot fully understand people’s needs, what they think, and how to draw their attention, it is impossible for you to successfully persuade the audience. In order to precisely get to the point and properly share your insights, understanding your audience is the most important part. Do not present things that the audience would not want to hear. A good communicator knows how to find a connection between himself and the audience, and through the connection, he or she can communicate more effectively from an angle which people can easily accept and understand. Ethically, to better observe is not trying to lie or not telling the truth, it is to seek a common
