Field Experience Teaching Project What?: For this project, you will set some personal goals related to teaching with student participation, use a  voice recorder to record yourself teaching a 10-15 minute lesson segment in your placement, analyze the recording, and  reflect on your practice. Why?: In class, we have learned specific discursive moves that can be used to teach with student participation.  These moves are useful to promote student communication and mathematical reasoning in the classroom.  The goal of  this project is to try and incorporate some of these strategies into your teaching and to reflect on how they impact the  learning experience of your students.  By listening to the discourse occurring in the classroom, you will have a chance  to assess some of your current teaching practices and set goals for the future. Details?:  There are three parts of this project: 1. Before the Lesson
