Working with Layers We’ll use a dedicated layer for audio, as well as the image layer(s). Prepare the Audio • Original audio was an .mp3 file, with over 3 minutes of music. • Only wanted part of it for my project, used Audacity to edit the audio. • Save as a “new” mp3 file. Do not overwrite the original file!

Import Audio from File: Flash can read most audio formats, but NOT .w4a format files. Add Audio to the Stage • On the Audio layer, drag Sound onto the stage. • Insert a keyframe at frame 500 (or so); you’ll see the audio wave form show up…

Set the Sound Sync In the properties box for the sound object, there is a setting for “Sync” which was set to “Event” by default. Change it to “Stream”
