Teens are strongly exposed to sexual activity through the media. In the media, sex is often presented as casual activity without risk or consequences. Television programming with sexual content and sexual dialogue influence teens sexual behavior. One-third to one-half of the television shows teens commonly watch contain verbal references to sexual issues (Ward, 1995).Teens are curious about sex; they want to try what they have seen on television, without thinking of the consequences.
