2Assignment 2-1 1. A business process is a series of activities that accomplishes a business objective: adding value to input resources. Enterprises create value by developing and providing the goods and services customers desire. In the case of tobacco or illegal drugs, the customers form an addiction to the product. In their minds they “need” the product. So tobacco companies and drug markets stay in business because they get their customers addicted to their product, creating the desire to keep buying. 2. I would have to say that probably events that occur outside enterprise boundaries would affect what occurs inside. You have your investors, suppliers, creditors, and customers, who all do business with outsiders. One would also want to look at how other enterprises who perform similar tasks, are doing.
