Dean Search Professor Reedy Play Fair! Share! Don’t Run! 11 October 2010 Ardsley Child Care Center When our group was informed that we would be working with two and three year olds at Ardsley Child Care Center, we immediately started working together to come up with ideas. Our ideas consisted of a name game; a Simon says type game, and coloring pictures of snowmen. We were confident in our plans for the day but were nervous for how the kids were going to react to us. Unsure of what the outcome would be, all we could do was hope for the best. We arrived to Ardsley Child Care Center and were greeted by a woman. She was in charge of the childcare center and gave us a tour of the building. One distinct characteristic of the building was that it was very spacious and provided the children with plenty of space to move and play. The spaciousness is essential to the children’s development and well-being. Another crucial part that I found extremely important was that they had multiple childcare providers in each room. This helps protect the children
