Dean Search Professor McCorry Thought and Expression 12 October 2010 My Passion Growing up in a small town in New Jersey, I found myself limited to certain activities. I did not go to the zoo or amusement park when I was young but rather used the resources around me. I grew up on a farm with plenty of land about half a mile away from any civilization. This was convenient because it gave me an ample amount of privacy as well as space to do whatever I wanted. I could have been the typical five-year- old boy who stayed inside and played video games all day. However, that was not the route I chose. I chose to play outside with my three brothers who also were very active and healthy children. I believe that because of these circumstances, I found my love for sports. Throughout my childhood, my parents always signed me up for whatever sport was being offered for that specific season. In the fall it was soccer, the winter was basketball, and the spring was baseball. My passion for sports went beyond the physical
