As we get older our bodies go through natural changes. Our bones become thinner and may become brittle. This weakening of the bones also increases the risk of fracture often times from a fall in person’s diagnosed with Osteoporosis. Our joints begin to stiffen and we find ourselves unable to do physical activity with as much ease as we used to if arthritis develops. Sometimes these naturally occurring changes cause pain and swelling further limiting our mobility and diminishing our quality of life. The good news is there are steps we can take to

Active people have increased physical and psychological benefits and less likelihood of developing arthritis or Osteoporosis. Also important in maintaining optimal bone and joint health is consuming a diet rich in calcium and Vitamin D. Avoid smoking and limit your caffeine and alcohol consumption to further ensure your bones and joints remain strong.
