CLUB IT, PART TWO 2 Club IT, Part Two Club IT, will need to incorporate information technologies into its business model if they are to remain competitive within their industry. They started very strong with a good concept and great music, but in order to remain ahead of the competition they must better their processes. Club IT has a great concept with good food, great music and a dedicated clientele. They must now sustain what they started, but they must be more efficient and effective with their processes. Our mature “30 something” patrons want a place that they can meet their friends and spend an enjoyable evening free of disturbances (Club IT website, 2005). So how can Club IT distinguish itself from the rest? Club IT must incorporate information technologies and systems to remain competitive as well as enhance their business processes for future success. Integrating the business units and making them more efficient, as well as developing a system to link Club IT with its customers will be the key to this success (Smith, 2007). Three Business Problems Club IT Faces Clientele is the most important factor in the club business. This is a service industry with no commodity products or tangible goods. Therefore we must find a way to be as efficient and cost productive as possible, while keeping the interest of the customer. People lose interest very fast so the Club must continue to find ways to be innovative and creative to keep the customer coming back. The music is another huge factor in this business. Keeping up with the customer’s taste in music is not always the easiest thing. One day it is one style and it
