SAMPLE PERSUASIVE MESSAGE 2 Abstract Time, confidence, and the ease of purchasing make Electronic Commerce an appealing way to shop for most consumers. Retailers are investing time and money, conducting research, to better understand the buying behaviors of the online shopper. Electronic retailing or e-tailing continues to grow as retailers improve their processes to enhance consumer confidence, by creating an enjoyable and rewarding buying experience. I will discuss e-tailing behaviors such as research of products or brands, payment of merchandise, and merchandise return policies that the online shopper deals with. I will analyze these behaviors and discuss how the electronic retailers or e- tailers are using this knowledge to attract and keep more online shoppers.

SAMPLE PERSUASIVE MESSAGE 3 Sample Persuasive Message Nature and Challenge of E-Tailing and E-Commerce Marketing Modern technology has taken commerce to a whole new level. Retailers must be able to reach large number of consumers, capture their interest, assure them that their merchandise is the best, and build their trust so that they continue to shop with them. Electronic retailing has become a must for retailers if they are to remain competitive. E-tailing allows retailers to reach more consumers, assist them in making their decision for a particular product, making the experience of buying merchandise a simple, quick, and affordable endeavor. Unlike independent store front shopping, where you can go to a store, touch the product, and talk to a salesperson and ask questions, online shopping is all on the consumer. E-tailers must provide an avenue so that the online shopper has the confidence to make the purchase. The
