Personal and organizational responsibilities for moral and ethical use of technology The American Red Cross has been operating as the United State’s premier emergency response organization, since 1881. To offer neutral humanitarian care to victims of war, and providing aid to victims of devastated natural disasters globally. From floods to earthquakes where over 700 local chapter responds to emergencies to homes and communities throughout the world. The American Red Cross has implemented the following Ethics Rules, Policies, and Procedures of the organization through the Human Resources Department and the Ethical Department: ARC Business Funds, Property, and Time Antitrust and Insider Trading Armed Forces Services Standards of Behavior for the Armed Forces Emergency Services (“AFES”) Biomedical Service Policies Compliance with the Law Confidentiality Conflict of Interest Policies Environmental Protection Health and Safety Intellectual Property International Business Internet/Intranet/Computer Usage Policy Media and Public Inquiries Maintain Red Cross Neutrality
