The population in Gilbert, Arizona is compiled of a variety of different races. Approximately eighty-two percent of the population in Gilbert, Arizona is Caucasian, making this group the predominate ethnicity. The dominance of the Caucasian group is very prevalent in Gilbert as there are various restaurants, fashion centers, and fast food chains that are geared towards the “white” community as well as the entire group of Gilbert board members are of the Caucasian ethnicity. The second largest group in Gilbert is the Hispanic community, holding fourteen percent of the city’s population. The Hispanic community in Gilbert is considered the hardest working group as they are always working to better their lifestyle and live the “American Dream.” The African American race holds the lowest percentage in the population at approximately three percent. Although the African American group is not as prevalent in Gilbert, they still have an apparent influence on the community with their religious beliefs and
