Unless noted otherwise, you must show your work and reasoning in order to receive credit. 1. (20 pts) Dorian Auto is considering manufacturing three types of cars: compact, midsize, and large. The resources required for, and the profits yielded by, each type of car are shown in Table 1. 11,000 tons of steel and 100,000 hours of labor are currently available. For production of a type of car to be economically feasible, at least 1000 cars of that type must be produced. In addition, in order to have some consistency in the product lines, Dorian does not want a solution that produces both compact and large cars unless it also produces midsize cars. Formulate an integer program to maximize Dorian’s profit. Be sure to define your decision variables clearly.
