Topics include: religious liberty, abortion, assisted suicide, affirmative action, same-sex marriage, medical and legal ethics, equality, private property, justice during wartime, torture, famine relief, foreign aid; stem cell research, and cloning. Readings are drawn from legal material and from sources in political and moral philosophy.
