Logistics is how to get the raw materials to the factory and then to the customer Is transporting, inhaling in a way to reach customer needs o Physical Distribution Gets it to customers Logistics Physical distribution o Physical Distribution Customer Service Making distribution more efficient Increase their profits Cut prices Improve customer service ECR - Efficient Customer Response Use tech to improve the customer service Rapidly and efficient delivery will get you far Everyone wants to provide value to sell their products Why outsource? 30% of the distribution goes to transportation 90% of companies either outsource or consider outsourcing their distribution and transportation 45% of companies have trucks today 27% are using contract logistics than 5 years ago
