Nikki Resor Speech #2 Self Evaluation After viewing my Informative Speech, I have concluded that overall it was very effective but I still have areas to improve upon, some of them that are similar to my first speech. My purpose was to inform my audience about the affects music has on the human brain, and I do believe that I achieved this purpose effectively. Some of the strengths I noticed during my speech were similar to my previous speech and some were different. I noticed that my gestures and fluent speaking style were quite effective because I spoke clearly and used appropriate hand movements that matched what I was saying. I also believe the volume at which I spoke was appropriate and I seemed to have confidence. My introduction was effective because I grabbed the audience’s attention, related my topic to the audience, and previewed my main ideas effectively. On the other hand, I noticed some weaknesses that could have been avoided in my speech. Similarly to my previous speech, I used the word “um” and looked at my note
