Nikki Resor UA: Rachel Petri Wednesday 6:00 Week 14: Modes of TV Production The television show I decided to watch for this diary entry was Parks and Recreation , which is shot in single camera film mode. I could immediately tell this program was shot in one camera mode because of the variety of locations utilized during the show. Unlike multi-camera mode, single camera allows for a variety of diverse locations. The first scene of the episode “Leslie’s House,” takes place in a gymnasium while the second scene takes place in a restaurant. The scene after takes place in Leslie’s office, and then the next scene takes place in Leslie’s house. This use of several different locations proves that the program was not filmed in a studio. If the show had been shot using multi camera mode, we most likely would not see several different locations because it takes a lot of time and wouldn’t allow the directors to shoot a program straight through in a studio.
