Nikki Resor UA: Rachel Petri Wednesday 6:00 Week 4: Guilty Pleasure Peer Response One of our group members chose a bridal website as her guilty pleasure. She felt guilty about looking at the bridal website religiously because most college students are not thinking about being engaged or getting married anytime soon. Unlike myself, my peer wrote her guilty pleasure paper while keeping certain taste cultures in mind. I realized that she thought about the certain culture she was a part of and considered their hierarchies of taste. When I wrote my paper, I made the mistake of focusing solely on how I felt about my guilty pleasure and why. I felt guilty about Facebook for my own personal reasons, not because it is viewed as unacceptable or embarrassing within my own culture. In fact, my group mates were surprised that I felt guilty about using Facebook because it is so accepted and commonly used by college students. I did not consider the taste culture I was a part of, I only focused on my own personal values,
