I chose to create an assignment that deals with the concept of media convergence because after discussing it in class I noticed ways in which it affected my own life as well as our culture as a whole. I feel as though it is changing the way we socialize, the way we do business, and the way we are educated. So many different forms of media are being digitalized and it has begun to affect our society positively and negatively. It is important for people to understand the effects media convergence has on us because they can be easily overlooked. If we do not acknowledge the ways in which society is changing because of digitalization, we may overlook some of the potential threats that are being posed or even new ways we can benefit from media convergence....
