Robby Regan Tuesday 2:30 10/05/2010 Title: Names Many things can make an impact someone’s perception of a memory . Most of time, we do not even realize that what we saw was skewed . When you know something and someone lies to you, they may not have meant to lie to you . Our memory is a tricky thing; we take it for granted sometimes . One of the things that are most frustrating about memory is remembering names of new people you meet . Sometimes when I go hang out with my friends and I meet new people I find it difficult to remember a large group of new names . But that must mean that it wouldn’t be hard to remember one person’s name, correct? No, one time I went to a friend’s house to watch the football game . I met my friend Ryan’s girlfriend Amy. Then, I went to go get something to eat in the other room . When I reentered where the television was, I could not remember her name to save my life . I was embarrassed because all I had to do was remember one name and I couldn’t
