MAE 184 – Vise Project Notes Formats The drawing format is that part of the drawing that defines what the blank sheet would look like before you placed any part information onto it. For example, a blank drawing sheet might consist of boarders, a title block with placeholders for such information as the date, drawing titles, scale, drawing number etc. as well a company name, address, and logo. Read About Using Formats in a Drawing in the Pro-e Help File Proceed to create a drawing format for the Vise Project as follows: 1. With your working directory set to MAE 184 and from the Pro/ENGINEER menu bar, choose File > New . In the New dialog box, click Format and type Vice_Drawings in the Name box. Click OK . 2. In the New Format dialog box, specify the format size as follows: Under Orientation , click Landscape . Select A size from the Standard Size list. The sketcher will open up with the outline of the paper edge allowing you to create a blank drawing sheet. The sheet size will be indicated at the bottom of the graphics area. Let’s start by putting a ¼” boarder around the sheet. For this we will use the Offset Tool. Selecting the Offset Tool opens the Menu Manager Window with offset operations Single
