Eating disorders are a broad group of serious conditions in which you're so preoccupied with food and weight that you can often focus on little else. Treatment for eating disorders usually involve counseling, nutrition education, medication and in patient hospitalization

Pressure from coaches Reinforcement with initial improvements in performance that diminish Body weight tables are not configured for elite athlete’s muscle mass – “overweight” is not fat ports, work and artistic activities. Athletes, actors and television personalities, dancers, and models are at higher risk of eating disorders. Coaches and parents may unwittingly contribute to eating disorders by encouraging young athletes to lose weight.
