1 Virginia Tech Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering CEE 5734 – Urban Hydrology and Stormwater Management Homework #11: Mechanics of Water Quality Modeling in SWMM Due: April 20, 2011 (revisions in yellow) This homework exercise introduces the student to the water quality tools in the EPA SWMM model. Similar to Homework #6 this homework this homework is about experimentation rather than getting things “right”. You are to experiment with different functions and settings associated with simulating the concentration of a pollutant and to develop a level of fluency with these tools. You will receive a grade (either 10 or 0) on this homework. Any submission (defined at end of assignment) will get a 10, but must represent a genuine effort. Your final homework assignment will be based on “best” submissions (with attribution) from the class. Tasks: 1. For uniformity, I am providing a SWMM input file for Occoquan watershed site ST45. You should download this file and use it as the starting point for this
