COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS2Pacific Dental Services (PDS) Compensation and Benefits Package Prepared for JohnSmith, D.D.S.The following compensation and benefits package was designed specifically for Dr. John Smith who will be the executive dentist for our newest branch office located in London, England.This package is good for a period of two years under Dr. Smith’s term assignment. If Dr. Smith terminates his position prior to the end of his two year assignment, this package will no longer bein effect.Base Pay/Salary/BonusesThe average salary for a dentist employed by Pacific Dental Services in the United States is $241,875.00 (“Pacific Dental Services,” 2020). Dr. Smith will receive a base salary of $266,062.00 U.S. dollars which is 10% over the national average or 30% of total collections for the month, whichever is higher.Key Factors and Decisions for Determining Base PayBy offering Dr. Smith the option to have a base pay salary, it will offer short term securityby providing a minimum cash flow, it will help while building up the practice patient base, it provides competition for talented dentists, and provides practice security by minimizing turnover(“Base salary,” 2014). Allowing Dr. Smith to have the potential to earn more through a bonus structure will help to encourage him to increase his production and encourage his billing department to ensure that collections are being paid in a timely manner. In addition to the base pay and the bonus structure, Dr. Smith will also receive additional compensation and benefits forhis willingness to relocate to London. The following outlines which additional pay considerations and benefits are included and excluded as part of the compensation and benefits package.

PDS will provide incentive pay to reimburse Dr. Smith for moving expenses and costs associatedwith relocation. _Yes XNo Mobility Premium. As a result of the relocation destination having a lower cost of living than the U.S., there will not be a cost of living allowance.
