14 Blood and Nerve supply • Muscle require a tremendous amount of Oxygen - rich blood supply – arteries and veins in close proximity and run in connective tissue between fiber bundles – split into capillaries around each fiber(cell) • motor nerves - initiate contraction • sensory nerves - pain, stretch
