As the Human Resources manager, my employees job concerns are the utmostimportance to me. With the recent downturns of the economy causing the loss of large contractsfor the company, my employees are no longer receiving annual COLA or merit increases thatthey are accustomed to which is causing increasing unionization rumors. It is evident that theemployees are considering this because it has been suggested that people unionize because offrustration, alienation, or dissatisfaction in the workplace (Klandermans, 1986, as cited inButtigieg, Deery, & Iverson, 2007).
