ABSTRACT: To measure the mechanical properties of the sample , we conducted two experiments. For uts value we conducted hardness test and for other mechanical properties we conducted the tension test. OBJECTİVE : The aim of this experiment is to obtain the stress-strain diagram, to determine the tensile properties and hence to get valuable information about the mechanical behaviour and the engineering performance of the material. SAMPLE : Shape = round TESTING SYSTEM : - Testing Machine is of hydraulic type (Alşa Universal Testing Machine). It is a load- controlled machine. - Load Cell provides an electrical circuit for measuring the instantaneous load along the loading axis. - Power Supply is connected to load cell. It feeds the load cell, amplifies the output signal and displays the load. - Recorder plots the variation of load against time. PROCEDURE: In experiment Firstly, we put two markings on specimen which shows us the gage length for considering elongation after the experiment Secondly; we measured the initial gage length and diameter of the specimen before the experiment. Thirdly, we set up the tensile testing machine to deform and fracture the specimen and placed the specimen between the grips. Then we performed the test until fracture occurs. After experiment we got the variation of load versus time graph from the recorder. Finally, we measured the final gage length and diameter of the specimen after the experiment.the recorder plotted P vs L graph. Beside this we conducted hardness test. In hardness test specimen is put into the testing machine a 62.5
