Within each area, we will learn how the methods of calculus can solve a wide variety of mathematical problems. We will also see how this approach can be used to model events and processes in the human world and the natural sciences, such as how Walmart keeps it shelves perfectly stocked, how to make money in the stock market or why you got stuck in tra±c this morning. The two main goals are to develop the skills and competence to do math problems and to understand the material at a conceptual level. Hope-
