Exhibition – The Home - DVD formats: compressed in the data sense of the  word - Blu-Ray formats: uncompressed in the data sense of  the word - But both formats could be compressed in the  dynamic range sense of the word to better fit the  dynamic range of home listening environments. - Ideally, the tracks won’t be compressed: An  intelligent compression scheme built into the home  theater receiver will instead handle dynamic range  reduction.
