Innervations of the eye: SO4 – superior oblique – CN4 LR6 – Lateral rectus – CN6 Everything else is CN3 (occulomotor) - lacrimal duct drains into inferior nasal meatus - know ear drum picture (p.590) - external genetalia and penis cross section - only know first 20 pages of brain chapter - what passes through cavernous sinus: o III, IV, V (small branch) ,VI o Internal carotid artery - Otitis media: ear infection (middle most common, outer most painful) - Myringotomy: tubes in ears for draininge - Constrictor pupilla: parasympathetic: o CN III – Edinger + Westphal o Sympathetic fibers Vestibulocochlear nerve (CN VIII) innervates: - Angular acceleration o Semicircular canals - Linear acceleration o Saccule – vertical o Utricle – horizontal - Facial nerve (CN VII) exits stylomastoid foramen o Innervates stapedius muscle - Skin sensory innervatin of ear : CN IX, X - Tensor tympani m: CN V - Stapedius muscle – pulls stapes to dampen sound o Damage can cause hyperacusis - Annular ligament of stapes
