Evolution of leadership theories which arereflected by as a complexity with more than 80 years (Jesień, 2013). It is good to note that theearly leadership revolved around the qualities as well as the behaviors of the leaders whowere successful. The leadership theories and approaches evolved as a result of greatunderstanding which is related to expectations and the need of the working people, presenceof different impacts brought about by the different styles, attitude and competence towardsthe follower and finally the effectiveness of the leadership styles on diverse situations.However, it is vital for the leaders of today to comprehend the changes that have evolvedover the time and the need and expectations for consultation in decision making (Sorenson &Goethals). This discussion will focus on different theories and aspects relating to definition ofleadership.There are several approaches relating to leadership. First principle involves qualitiesand characteristics that are inborn. These includes determination, intelligence, sociability,integrity and self-confidence (Jesień, 2013).
