Mandy-Lynn Gifford CWV-101 August 5 th , 2020 Dr. Bob Greene Gospel Essentials According to Summit Ministries (2019), a worldview is “a pattern of ideas, beliefs, convictions, and habits that help us make sense of God, the world, and our relationship to God and the world.” A Christian worldview affirms that God is the sovereign and almighty Lord of all existence. Such an affirmation rejects any form of dualism, that matter has eternally existed, or that matter must, therefore, be evil since it is in principle opposed to God, the Source of all good (David S. Dockery 2019). Christian worldview shows God, Human Nature, Jesus, and Restoration. God To the Christian god is a saint that shows love, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, compassion, justice, and holiness. These are important because, he shows that he is a good “person” and is “perfect” in his ways. God is also referred to as eternal, infinite, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, immutable, an incomprehensible. God is almighty for his Christians and shows that he is true to them. He shows strength within and gives Christians a firm shoulder to lean towards. God is portrayed as the highest creation, perfected for his Christians, he is also best described as Trinity and God head, God the Father God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters (Genesis 1). For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that 1

Humanity The human nature is that assortment of characteristics that constitute and define humanity. Human nature makes us inherently human and distinct from all other creatures. Human nature includes the capacity to create, reason, love, and experience a wide range of emotions. Such a capacity is found in no other form of life (Compelling Truth, CT, 2011). The Bible provides much information on human nature. First, humans were created in God's image ( Genesis 1:26-27 ). Human nature is a unique creation that in some ways reflects the Creator (CT 2011) God's purpose for everyone is for each one to live a life that helps reconcile all humanity back to God, through faith in Christ. That is by living like Christ did and taking up His purpose, which was to lead others away from sin and to God. (Mike Ward 2017). I think humanity has suffered from the actions of Adam and Eve, which is the root cause of the people’s problems. The fall created hard work, suffering, painful childbirth and made Adam and Eve leave the garden, who knows what could have been if they would have never eaten the forbidden fruit and were able to stay in the Garden of Eden. Although we have suffering, we usually have joy, love and peacefulness come after the suffering has ended. Example, after painful birth there is a beautiful
