Hatshepsut- -Her life began in tragedy -Her father Thutmose Thuthmes -3 ways to spell name Thuthmose - He became leader of Egypt on 1504 BCE -Ahmose- his wife – they ruled together -Thutmose I had 67 wives -When Thutmose knew he was dying he trained Hatshepsut to be the co- ruler of Egypt -Thutmose I had four children, they all died but Hatshepsut -Thuthmose was stricken with paralysis 1) As co-ruler she negotiated contractors with foreign leaders 2) She entertained foreign heads of state that came to Egypt 3) She created and financed contracts other leaders of the Ancient world 4) She set up an embassy in other nations (all done under her father’s leadership/ when he is still alive) -Before he died Thutmose I marries Hatshepsut to one of her son’s by a secondary wife Mutnefert- secondary wife of Thutmose - Thuthmose II- Mutnefert’s son that married Hatshepsut -Hatshepsut becomes Queen, they have two kids - two daughters named: Nefrune, Merytra- Hatshepsut - Her husband was a weak/ sick leader physically
