Cell Division G1, S, and G2 = Interphase Karyokinesis : Can occue by one of two different mechanisms Mitosis: identical daughter cells Meiosis: non-identical daughter cells Chromosome structure     : Eukaryote: o DNA and Histone proteins o During interphase: relaxed, extended o During Cell Division: supercoiled condensed DNA is tightly rolled and cannot perform transcription Chromosomes can be unreplicated (1 molecule of DNA) Chromosomes can be replicated (2 identical molecules of DNA, held  together) o Ammount of DNA is equal o If you take a replicated chromosome and separate it, you make two  unreplicated chromosomes A chromosome may consist of  one (unreplicated)
